I am definitely a choco-holic, and as of lately Muddy Buddies have been at the top of my list of things I should probably quit pigging out on if I don’t want to have to go buy new jeans!!!! So I ran across this recipe strictly by accident and took it as a sign from the Goddess. Muddy Buddies are always an amazing snack but if you can manage to cut the calories but 2/3 and still have yummy chocolate-y peanut butter-y snack, well then that is even better. The family and the bathroom scale with love you for it!
This is the perfect appetizer/snack/meal on its own. Definitely not for folks on a diet, but thankfully we never do that in this house. This is one of my favorite, simple things to do for a party, especially during Football season which is about to be in full swing here in a few weeks. This is tested and definitely worth the effort. Let me know what y’all think and if you are as pleased as we were. By the way, this also came from pintrest 🙂
A hard truth and one of my greatest fears in becoming the homemaker, was that I HATE TO CLEAN. Don’t get me wrong, I love nothing more than having a clean house, but I simply become overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done to maintain the standard of clean that I enjoy. Neither my partner or I are neat freaks and things tend to go from spotless to tornado zone in a matter of just a few days. Someone posted this on my timeline on facebook and it has definitely helped to calm the chaos. Hope this helps others who like me, love a clean home but are just overwhelmed by the magnitude of the task.
Hi again everyone! This is a recipe that I decided to try out when I was expecting a table full, new recipes on guests, never a great idea! With a name like “Man pleasing Chicken” what could go wrong though right???? Oh lordy, I was a bit worried about this recipe from the get go since it combined maple syrup and mustard, but I read the blog entry on this and figured it must be AMAZING.. I was so very very very wrong, and I doubt that any of my guests that night will return for my cooking again. This recipe was very simple and economical to make which is important for us homemakers on a budget, but I still want something yummy after spending an hour on dinner.
Anyhow, this recipe I would have to rate a total failure, I will post a link just in case there are those of you that want to give it a try, let me know if you disagree with us, could just be different tastes please different men 🙂
Since the arrival of Pintrest, it has never been easier to come up with new ideas for recipes. However, I have learned quickly that not all recipes are created equal and some are just plain Awful. My goal is to try a new recipe at least twice a week and see how well it is received at my kitchen table.
The tomato basil pasta was worth a try from looking at the recipe, it seemed simple, quick and wasn’t comprised of ingredients that are impossible to find in small towns. I have tried this recipe twice, once with regular pasta and once with whole grain pasta, both were very simple to make. The whole grain version however was not received as well as the the version with regular linguine. This recipe calls for 4 cups of water, i substituted 3 cups of water and 1 cup of chicken stock for just a touch more flavor, but I hope you enjoy this meal as much as we did.
