Tomato Basil Pasta

Since the arrival of Pintrest, it has never been easier to come up with new ideas for recipes.  However, I have learned quickly that not all recipes are created equal and some are just plain Awful.  My goal is to try a new recipe at least twice a week and see how well it is received at my kitchen table.

The tomato basil pasta was worth a try from looking at the recipe, it seemed simple, quick and wasn’t comprised of ingredients that are impossible to find in small towns. I have tried this recipe twice, once with regular pasta and once with whole grain pasta,  both were very simple to make.  The whole grain version however was not received as well as the the version with regular linguine.  This recipe calls for 4 cups of water, i substituted 3 cups of water and 1 cup of chicken stock for just a touch more flavor,  but I hope you enjoy this meal as much as we did.
